Is that kind of giving with an effectiveness?

In this blog, once, I posted a page with the title of "We fail to give our thanks to our benefitters," that was described about "cows." It was about how we are taking or receiving things from cows from milk to meat. The post is often ranked as "top ten" popular post in the blog.

Any way, today, I was reading some religious based pages in Buddhism this morning. There are several kinds of givers and at the same time, effective givings and takings are existed.

Take a look the followings for example:

A tree gives us a cold, nice shade, valuable trunks and branches, leaves, roots, flowers, fruits, good smell, essential Oxygen (O2) etc, etc. However, because of it is not considered as even as it is alive, there is nothing effect on giver. Basically, a tree can get nothing from its giving and there is also no effectiveness because a tree is not an alive one.

The second one is "cow." Obviously or vividly as I have described, we get many things from cows. Is a cow's giving effective? Not really, according to that religious way of thinking because a cow is an animal who basically knows "to eat" "to sleep" and "to make love." Therefore, a cow's giving is not an effective way of giving.

What do you think?
