Yesterday, I went to our Leadership Retreat Students’ Reunion, which was called “Game Night.” The event was from 5 to 8ish PM. Coincidentally, my wife also had their High School Students’ Reunion and their time was 7 to 10:30 PM. Since we have three children, we had to poorly split our time.
I went to my reunion at about 5:15 and came back home at about 6:45. I saw my friends; some students were just coming in to the event while I was saying “goodbye.” The “fun time” was just begun.
After we had food, my friends were going to start playing pool tournament, ping pong and singing Karaoke, etc. I miss my friends. I wanted to stay longer with them. They wanted me to be with them there, too. That was also rare opportunity to meet with them again. What could I do? I just had to leave.
We have ‘Past’ ‘Present’ and ‘Future.’ We have received experiences, regrets and lessons from the past. ‘Past’ is gone, already. The future is not with us, yet. Only ‘present’ is real one that we exactly own and which we are living. However, I felt yesterday that before the ‘present was not real present yet,’ the future was incredibly running and hitting into the present with high-speed. The present was not even really in its place yet; the future was coming to take over its place.
Like me, many people could have the same feeling and experience in this era.
Are we losing our present for the future?
In other words, “Our Present is Stolen!”
What do you think?
